I like a certain style of forum; and i have been fairly greedy about keeping it to whatever style *I* like. In the future im looking at something that allows people to choose their own look for the forum, but untill then im looking to merge the forums style to what most (maplestory) forums use. presentation:
FONT:
i typically like small font, so the original fourm had small font; due to some complaints about it i've up'd the font size to what most forums have. if you feel the new font is too big or just right i'd appreciate feedback.
DESIGN:
im going to change the navigation blocks (page swithces) to be on the right as they are on most forums; im also planning to try having the forums be on a light color scale (white) as most maplestory forums are white. I know some guildies don't like having a dark forum; but its that way due to most games having forums which are.... black/dark. so i went along with the theme.
ACCESSIBILITY:
I'm thinking of making it so you have to reply on a separate page; changing the quote system; as many who use the forum now don't know how to use multi-quote, which we have now. I'm not sure how wanted this change would be though?
im also working on changing the icons to a more visually helpful look/color. (new post, reply/quote button etc)
SEARCH:
i will be updating the search function of the forum to be more "friendly"/accessible.
OVERALL: im looking for feedback on the forum; its look and feel. overall i've heard enough people tell me it feels "uncomfortable" that i've now found it worthwhile to change it to better suit peoples wants.
