The Resistance class is an uprising against the Black Wings organization and the Black mage. The class contains three professions; Battle Mage, Wild Hunter, and Mechanic. Edelstein is the home region to the Resistance class. The region is open to all classes in game. The region features the city of Edelstein, surrounding land and the underground, Verne mines.
You access Edelstein from the very top of six path crossway in Victoria island. It is a 5 minute boat ride.
The highest level enemy in the area (Leben Mine) is Lvl 101.
You will start the Job line as a Maple Citizen who finds themselves in the cross hairs of a battle event between the Resistance and the Black wings.
The class starts with two special beginner skills:

Resistance Class Mounts The class features two Mounts, one for Mechanic and one for Wild hunter. The mounts are skill based, the same as Evans, making you attack with your mount.
1. Wild Hunter At level 10 you will receive quest line to access and capture your Jaguar. You will also recieve two new biginner skills for your wild hunter. One to mount the jaguar and the other to catch it.
After weakening the jaguar of your choice, you can use the above skill to capture the animal. Jaguars come in a mix of colors. You may reenter this map by talking to the main jaguar NPC in Eldenstein at any time to choose a different colored jaguar later on. The color choices are; black, purple, blue, red or peach.
Other jaguars~
Jaira is a glowing eyed jaguar and special catch animal. Jaria is an enhanced jaguar. It comes with 180% speed and 120% jump. in KMS jaria spawns from 7 am to 8 am. Supposedly the jaguar is much more difficult to capture than basic jaguars.
See Wild hunter skills to view available bonuses while riding your jaguar. One skill in particular (swallow, which lets you kirby an enemy and spit it out to inflect damage) also can provide a random bonus to your character. The bonuses can contain damage reduction, increased crit rate, mp up and attack up. all the buffs are % based and are fairly strong when your skills are maxed.
2. Mechanic While the mech body may be referred to as your "mount", this body is your job. Your char will always be stationary within the mech.
The body inventory~
The body contains a Transistor, Frame, Arms, Engine and Legs
Resistance Energy Capsule are obtained via Cassandra until December 19th 2010. They are usable only on wild hunter and battle mage. Seven capsules can be obtained per character. You must be Lvl 170+ to obtain all seven on one character. Capsules can be traded across the account. It's recommend you get as many as possible as they do inject a fair amount of exp.
A follow up mechanic event will be released before mechanic with a similar quest that gives Red Resistance Capsules.
Resistance Weapon Box can be obtained from Cassandra until December 19th 2010. The char must be lvl 40+ and the box can be traded in account only.
The boxes are a one time event and contain a special weapon. The box is usable on all Resistance jobs (no follow up quest for mechanic as there is with capsules). One box can be opened per resistance character and the weapon will level as its used. All the weapons gain similar stats, 2 ~ 3 attack upon leveling. The weapons are wanted and are helpful.
The Resistance Ring grants you +3 AllStat, +30 HP/MP and +3 weapon and magic attack.
You can obtain this ring by raising your level to 70 on a Resistance character.
The Resistance Ring cannot be worn together with Lilin’s Ring and the Adventurer’s Ring. It is possible to share this ring with other characters on your own account.
2. Quest help for Resistance. (Note: no storyline quest requires anything that cant be found within the region. No ores needed)
3. Job advancing for Resistance. (credit: Ellin Forest)
First Job
Do all of the quests from the people in Edelstein, speak to the old gentleman when you're lvl 10 and complete his quest. Open the letter in you're inventory and choose your job.
Second Job
Talk you old gentleman, go inside hideout and talk with your job instructor. Head back to town and go to the ship place. You'll notice a timer. Talk to bad guy and kill him. Hand the drop to your job instructor.
Third Job
Click on quest lightbulb, accept the quest and talk with Job instructor. Head over to the map with the water carrying monsters and go down the mine shaft. (Don't die)
Go through portal, go right two times and you'll be in a map with three scientists. Jump Down. Keep on going left until you see a green robot. There is a wide door thingy to the right of him. Go in and kill the thing. Return to job instructor when you're finished.
Fourth Job
Click on the quest lightbulb. Accept the [Job] Quest and head back to edelstein mine by the method mentioned in Third Job Adv. Talk to the old scientist. he'll ask you for 5m.

End Results 20 Triple Blow MAXED 20 Dark Aura MAXED 13 Teleport MAXED 10 Finish Attack MAXED
Explanation Triple Blow, your only useful attacking skill in first should be maxed first. Dark Aura comes next, giving you a 10% damage increase. Teleport gives you mobility, max it next. Finish Attack is maxed last because it is really bad in first job, but it will progressively get better.
End Results 20 Staff Mastery MAXED 20 Quad Blow MAXED 20 Dark Chain MAXED 20 Blue Aura MAXED 20 Yellow Aura MAXED 3 Blood Drain 20 Staff Booster MAXED
Explanation First upgrade your attacking skill and get 1 Dark Chain to pull together mobs. Then start with Spell Mastery to boost your attacks. After that, work on maxing out your new attack. Max out booster, or keep it at a time that's fine for you to recast. Max your two new auras, in any order you wish. I recommend yellow because it adds weapon and moving speed. Finish off with maxing Dark Chain for Advanced later on, maxing out Staff Booster (if you left it at a certain amount before), and dumping your last 3 points into Blood Drain since you can't put them anywhere else.
Third Job 70. 1 Death Blow (1), 1 Conversion (1), 1 Advanced Dark Chain (1) 71. 2 Death Blow (3), 1 Super Body (1) 72. 3 Death Blow (6) 73. 3 Death Blow (9) 74. 3 Death Blow (12) 75. 3 Death Blow (15) 76. 3 Death Blow (18) 77. 2 Death Blow (20) MAXED, 1 Battle Mastery (1) 78. 3 Battle Mastery (4) 79. 3 Battle Mastery (7) 80. 3 Battle Mastery (10) 81. 3 Battle Mastery (13) 82. 3 Battle Mastery (16) 83. 3 Battle Mastery (19) 84. 1 Battle Mastery (20) MAXED, 2 Teleport Mastery (2) 85. 3 Teleport Mastery (5) 86. 3 Teleport Mastery (8) 87. 2 Teleport Mastery (10) MAXED, 1 Advanced Dark Chain (2) 88. 3 Advanced Dark Chain (5) 89. 3 Advanced Dark Chain (8) 90. 3 Advanced Dark Chain (11) 91. 3 Advanced Dark Chain (14) 92. 3 Advanced Dark Chain (17) 93. 3 Advanced Dark Chain (20) MAXED 94. 3 Dark Lightning (3) 95. 3 Dark Lightning (6) 96. 3 Dark Lightning (9) 97. 3 Dark Lightning (12) 98. 3 Dark Lightning (15) 99. 3 Dark Lightning (18) 100. 2 Dark Lightning (20) MAXED, 1 Super Body (2) 101. 3 Super Body (5) 102. 3 Super Body (8) 103. 3 Super Body (11) 104. 3 Super Body (14) 105. 3 Super Body (17) 106. 3 Super Body (20) MAXED 107. 3 Conversion (4) 108. 3 Conversion (7) 109. 3 Conversion (10) MAXED 110. 3 Advanced Blue Aura (3) 111. 3 Advanced Blue Aura (6) 112. 3 Advanced Blue Aura (9) 113. 3 Advanced Blue Aura (12) 114. 3 Advanced Blue Aura (15) 115. 3 Advanced Blue Aura (18) 116. 2 Advanced Blue Aura (20) MAXED, 1 Revive (1) 117. 3 Revive (4) 118. 3 Revive (7) 119. 3 Revive (10) 120. 3 Revive (13)
End Results 20 Advanced Blue Aura MAXED 20 Battle Mastery MAXED 20 Death Blow MAXED 20 Dark Lightning MAXED 10 Conversion MAXED 20 Super Body MAXED 13 Revive 10 Teleport Mastery MAXED 20 Advanced Dark Chain MAXED
Explanation 1 in those three skills will help you a lot. Death Blow upgrades your main attacking skill, Conversion gives you 64% more HP, and Advanced Dark Chain increases damage and stun time. 1 Super Body gives Yellow Aura -2 weapon speed, and then you max out Death Blow for more attack. Max out Battle Mastery for more damage and critical. Teleport Mastery is next, since it can be maxed quickly and it is very useful. Advanced Dark Chain increases number of monsters, damage, and stun time. Dark Lightning is maxed for a new mob attack. Super Body and Advanced Blue Aura are interchangeable, but I suggest Super Body to boost Dark and Yellow Aura. Conversion is maxed now because your other choices won't help you too much. Your last few points are dumped into Revive since it is really bad, and Resistance cannot put SP into past jobs.
Fourth Job Add whatever you want.
Explanation To make it easier, here is an overview of each of the fourth job skills of a battlemage.
Advanced Dark Aura - Increases the attack that Dark Aura gives and also drains monsters' HP when you are near them. (Passive) Advanced Yellow Aura - Increases the speed that Yellow Aura gives and also gives you a chance to dodge monsters' attacks. (Passive) Energize - Increases HP, Weapon Defense, and Magic Defense permanently. (Passive) Finish Blow - Gives another hit to Triple Blow bringing it up to 6. (Passive) Cyclone - Turns you into a cyclone in which you can move near enemies to damage them. (Active) Dark Genesis - Attack 15 enemies and have a chance to stun them. Also powers up Dark Lightning. (Active/Passive) Stance - Decreases knockback rate. (Active) Shelter - Protects you and your party members from any enemy damage for a set amount of time. (Active) Maple Hero - Increase you and your party members' base stats by a certain percentage. (Active) Hero's Will - Resist states for a certain amount of time. (Active)
50 - 56 or so - ludi (pink teddies, panda, trojans)
56 - 60+ robo in ludi (last robo map)
i say + because there arent many good mobs from 65-70, as its always been in maple xD water goblins were slow, omega sector is OK. meatons and greys are the best. you should level in about 25-35 mins. i went to jesters from 68-70 to try it out. it took about 25 minutes to level in a party.
70! go to the mines in eldestine! theres a lot of amazing mobs in the area. the first being spiders. the map is small, good spawn. the exp is really fast. i found it to even be better than jesters. you dont have to deal with any drama/ksing either. its better for people who arent as funded and need lower hp/good exp mobs. spiders can get you to 75+ plus easy.
75 - 82+ depending on your funding/damage, you may need to stay at spiders a bit longer (you can also kill between spiders and the next map, miners... it'll speed up the exp a bit at a higher 7x range). when your able to, go to fly swatter robots in the map after miner moles. these mobs are AMAZING. its insane fast respawn. tons of spawn. small map. using advance dark chain here is amazing. the exp is srsly great. i can see the map being good for almost all jobs.
at 83 i was still gaining .09 - .10% per robot killed but i elected to move on. you could stay for awhile longer.
84/85 + i would recommend going to arient. the mixed map with sand rats and scorpions is a small upgrade from the fly swatter robots. iron mutae's are good exp as well, i would recommend leaving sand rats/scorpions as soon as possible to move there. you may also try C-1, with droids. moving there asap is a big exp boost.
jesters can be good exp, but i chose to avoid it. if you do, you can find very fast training else where. i really cant recommend edelstein mine more. the robots in the mine are amazing exp. i gained almost 14 levels training off and on over the course of 3+ hours.
