4 Candle Event
Dates: 5.7.09 ~ 6.16.09
Help Gaga make a birthday cake and win prizes! Visit Gaga in any town to begin the 4 Candle quest! Gaga will give you one candle to keep lit for forty minutes. After keeping the candle lit for forty minutes, you'll get one piece of birthday cake. You'll need to collect four pieces to complete the 4 Candle quest. Random users will be chosen to win in-game items, cash items, and offline prizes each day until the event period is over. If you're lucky, you can win a MapleStory skinned laptop!
(Note: If you log out of the game before the forty minutes is up, you will lose the candle, and no cake will be given. Any pieces of cake you do earn throughout the event period will stay with you until you complete the quest.)

A new skill for 4th job:
• Hero's Will
Mastery Level 5: Relieves you from the seduction status (? may or may not be in patch)
in patch:
Level 1: 30 MP, cooldown 10 minutes
Level 2: 30 MP, cooldown 9 minutes
Level 3: 30 MP, cooldown 8 minutes
Level 4: 30 MP, cooldown 7 minutes
Level 5: 30 MP, cooldown 6 minutes
• Maple Hero's mastery level has been changed to 30
Levels 1~20: the same
Level 30: 15% increase in stats for 900 seconds
(patch data for v.70 was posted by removed a little after, some are saying it stated that maple hero will be upgraded to Lvl 30. Lvl 30 maple hero book would also drop from pink bean AND horntail. This evidently was updated in KMS aswell)
• Power Strike's Level 1 Damage is now 165%.
• Slash Blast's Level 1 Damage is now 72%.
• Mastered Hyper Body now lasts 300 seconds when mastered.
• Mastered Rage now increases weapon attack by 12.
• Threaten now works on boss monsters.
• Mastered Blizzard Charge (Sword) / Ice Charge (Blunt Weapon) now does 110% damage.
• Blast Range was increased.
• Mastered Sanctuary cooldown reduced to 20 seconds.
• Enrage's cooldown reduced to 6 minutes.
• Mastered Berserk is now 50% HP.
• Elemental Amplication is now 140% damage when mastered (for I/L and F/P mages).
• Big Bang's cooldown reduced to 1 second.
• Chain Lightning's damage reduction has been reduced (Less damage taken off per monster that is passes).
• Decreased the minimum range for shooting arrows. (This means that you can be closer and still fire)
• Increased the damage when you whack monsters.
• Level 1 Strafe now does 71% damage.
• Mastered Concentrate now lasts for 240 seconds (4 mins).
• Piercing's charge time reduced to 1 second.
• Mastered Sniping's cooldown reduced to 4 seconds.
• Increased the impact damage of arrow bomb.
• Increased Band of Thieves's range.
• Increased Assaulter's range.
• Pickpocket's formula is now fixed.
• Increased Ninja Storm's range.
• Reduced Boomerang Step's delay.
• Increased Fire Burner's & Cooling Effect's range.
• Reduced Dragon Strike's delay.
• Reduced Fist's delay.
• Reduced Energy Buster's delay.
• Increased mastered Rapid Fire's damage to 170%.
• Reduced time between Battleships to 90 seconds.
• You can now use every skill except for double fire, oak barrel, snatch, and demolition while transformed.

We've got lots of fun events for MapleStory's anniversary. Here's what's in store:
(All the following events will run from 5.7.09 - 6.16.09):
- EXP has been adjusted!!! Can you believe it? It really is true
- We have adjusted the EXP rate, for our anniversary month. This should help you get to your goal in no time!
- EXP event for the whole
month of May. We will be giving 2x EXP every Saturday and Sunday from
1-3 pm (PDT)! With the EXP adjustment, and 2x EXP events, this should
be a breeze!
- Special 36 hour 2x EXP event from May 11th, starting at noon till May 12th, midnight! How cool is that?
- 4 Candle Event.
Complete the Candle event and you can win cash items and offline
prizes! Keep the candles on for at least 40 minutes. If you can collect
four pieces of the birthday cake, you can win a cash item or offline
prize!
- All Gachapon tickets will be on sale for two weeks! Try to score a special CWKPQ boss item
- Four Special CWKPQ boss items added in the Gachapon, just in time for our 4th Anniversary!
- Common Skills for all classes have been edited. Details to come!

it's only for a short period of time. Talk to Maple Administrators

Maple Leaves are useful for so many things! Collect Maple Leaves for all of these events:
- Your special 4th Anniversary weapons for a limited time!
Go to the Maple Admin NPC to exchange your old 2nd anniversary weapon
Maple Leaves for a 4th anniversary weapon, Maple Hat, Maple Shield,
Maple Earrings, or 4th Anniversary Scroll!
- Leveling
Up Event- Each time you level up, you will receive Maple Leaves! As
soon as you level up (starting with two), a light bulb icon will appear
above your characters head, and you will automatically receive Maple
Leaves!
- Maple 4th
Anniversary Scrolls - Cassandra will give you a Maple 4th Anniversary
scroll if you bring 40 Maple Leaves at 4 pm, 6pm, 8p, and 10pm,
Tuesdays and Thursdays! This is on a first come first serve basis, so
be the first to get there at that time and day!
- All
server team event- Start growing a unified MapleStory tree by gathering
sunlight, dropped from various monsters. This will be an all server
team effort. Gaga will be collecting sunglight from all users in all
servers. The more sunlight everyone gives, the bigger the Maple tree
will grow. See if you can work as one!
- 5th Anniversary Mini Dungeons open to everyone! Beat all the cake mobs and get Maple leaves
- 4th Anniversary Maple Weapon drops! Monsters all over the Maple world will be dropping special anniversary weapons.
- GM
Events! Our GMs are getting into the Anniversary spirit! They will be
summoning Big Puff Daddy everywhere, but you won't know when, so be on
the lookout and be prepared!
- Maple

No real info yet, you collect crystals that drop from enemies in a special dungeon that you may enter and have 5 minutes to kill/collect, a rumor is you cant heal mp or use "special skills", 2x drop works. To enter the dungeon more then the set amount daily you'll be able to buy tickets in cash shop for 400nx each.

There have been a few changes in the Cash Shop to enhance security and convenience. First, you'll notice that Nexon Cash has now been divided into two categories –
PayPal/Pay by Cash and Nexon Game Card Cash. Whenever you make a
purchase, you will now be prompted to select one of the now three
available payment options - PayPal/Pay by Cash, Nexon Game Card Cash
and Maple Points. Second, the Gift Token section has been removed. As long as you have Nexon Game Card Cash, you'll be able to gift your friends. Please remember that some items such as the Character Name Change and
Character Transfer can only be purchased with Nexon Game Card Cash.
These type of items are marked by an "N" emblem on the item icon.
